As a reviewer of books, when I saw Stephan Pastis’s latest addition to his A Pearls Before Swine Collection, I jumped at the chance to see his latest work. As a follower of his daily strip carried by countless newspapers across the country, I look forward to his contribution to my local newspaper comic page every day. As I read through this latest book I got a chuckle on every turn of the page. In the world of newspaper comic artists, he is at the top of his profession.

His unique view of the world, his ability to make fun of himself, and his wide cast of characters makes this strip one of the most popular in a crowded field. If you are not familiar with Stephan Pastis I would certainly recommend this book, and if you are already reading his strip on a daily basis I would still recommend this book for your collection.
