Friendship Book Falls Short

Toodles has many good friends, but longs for a best friend. Along comes Teeny. The two friends quickly abandon all others. In this story about the difference between a best friend and good friends, the importance of both is brought to light. The story is rather simplistic, with little rising action that the climax comes too easily. The illustrations are colorful, but rudimentary. However, the Note to Parents at the end will foster thoughtful conversations with children about how to promote and nurture good friendships.
