Damian Birkel has compiled many valuable resources and readers will also find downloadable templates on the publisher‘s site. The Job Search Checklist is organized in a seven step process: emotional impact of a job loss, life after unemployment, developing a career plan, crafting an effective resume, the power of networking, effective interviewing and finally, hit the ground running. There are numerous checklists and each chapter begins and ends with a checklist to review the content covered in the particular chapter. The chapter on creating a personal marketing plan suggested great ideas on creating a strategy around the job search.

Well-researched, well-organized and insightful; this is a great book as you plan your next career move. This reviewer really appreciated how the book addresses the personal and emotional side of the job search, rather than just focusing on the nuts and bolts of finding a job.
