At first glance one might think that The Belle & Boo Book of Crafts is a children’s book to read to a child but even though the topic is geared towards crafts to make for children, and the artwork is whimsical with a juvenile slant, this is, indeed, an adult book. Encased in this unique book are directions for 25 projects to make for children. It is a beautiful book, with thick pages and the author’s art on each page. The book will inspire the reader to create keepsakes, adventures and even heirlooms.

“With this book of twenty-five projects to make for children, you too can now enter the world of Belle and Boo and bring its unique qualities of warmth, innocence, and adventure to your own family life.”

The projects range from simple cutting and gluing to more complicated stitch work. Each project lists needed supplies, numbered instructions and plenty of photographs of the project as it progresses from start to finish. When applicable, “Safety First” notes are included. So make an apron, bean bag, pennants or even a play tent. Templates and patterns are incorporated at the end of the book, as well as a list of resources.
