10Bee would do anything for her 11-year-old brother Tommy, who has cystic fibrosis. So when his dive gets cancelled because of rough water, Bee decides to take matters in her own hands. She sets out with Tommy to find his surfer contact, Ty, to make this a trip Tommy won’t forget. But not everything goes as planned and some actions have near-death consequences.

Wish has to be one of the most heart-warming stories that I have read in a long time. Not only does it show the depth of love between a sister and her younger brother, but also the bonds of friendship that is brought together by common interests. Tommy is an exceptionally delightful character and I was intrigued by his knowledge of sharks as well as the strong relationship that he has with his sister. Bee is also a very giving character and she made for a strong female character in this book.

Wish is full of adventure, strong bonds, engaging facts and even a little bit of romance. If you want a light read with lovable characters and an equally enjoyable plot, this one is a must.
