Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, $16.99, 32 pages

Everything but the Horse is a high quality children’s picture book, the art is phenomenal, the quality of the book itself is exceptional, and the story is cute and funny. The story is about the experiences of a little girl when her family moves from town to an old farm, then she sees that some of the neighbors have horses, of course she wants one, though her parents think differently. She draws and paints horses, visits the neighbors’ horses, and other things to make believe she has a horse.

The art in Everything but the Horse alone is worth the price of the book. This is a book your children or grandchildren will want to read or have read to them over and over, so the book is made to stand up to it, it’s first quality all the way. The story has a happy ending, but not the one you might expect. Find this book in your local bookstore, or order it from Amazon, you won’t be sorry.
