With all the movies based on comics, it was interesting to see a comic based on a movie. Your Highness: Knight and Dazed is the prequel of the new movie Your Highness. It shows the prince and his brother, and gives an insight into their personalities. The older brother Fabius is the heroic prince that we have come to expect, and his half of the book shows him rescuing a damsel in distress. Thadeus, the younger brother, is the one to be afraid of, and his mishandling of a diplomatic situation shows why.

Although a tad sophomoric, the comic is an interesting read. Fabius gets all of the mandatory gay jokes, and Thadeus gets the sex and drug jokes, but they aren’t as bad as you would expect. It’s a quick read, and the art is pretty, so at least there isn’t much damage. The comic is meant to give us a taste of the movie, so it doesn’t feel like it’s a top-notch satire, but it should still be interesting to see how the characters actually interact. As for the comic itself, if you enjoy low humor you will like it, but it’s too obvious for most people.
