The sparkling night life in Miami Beach is the setting for the mystery, and it is peopled by a fascinating cast of characters that include the rich, the famous and the criminal element. They come together in a shocking case of kidnapping, blackmail and murder. Caught in the middle is a broken family whose members are searching for each other even as they seek answers to the past. Tension builds as they look for two missing high school girls who may not survive if not found soon. An emotional attachment to the likeable main characters is hard to avoid as they struggle to understand the events that have changed their lives. The suspense begins in the first pages and builds right to the end of the book. The story is vibrant and fast-paced, and an easy read that you won’t want to put down. There are many characters that are presented as possible suspects and wondering who is behind all the mayhem holds the reader’s interest right up to the surprising end. A very satisfying read.
