Alexandra Bullen’s Wishful Thinking is a truly wonderful read! It takes you on a journey through the life of Hazel Snow, an orphan girl who grew up being passed from foster home to foster home. Believing that all she really needs in order to feel whole is to know her mother, she sets out on a fantastical journey.  With the aid of a magical dress Hazel finds herself 18 years in the past and faced with a heartbreaking decision, to accept her life, bad childhood and all, or do her best to make her life what she had always wanted it to be.

Wishful Thinking will take you on an emotional ride through the life of a very unhappy yet hopeful young person. Everyone can relate to the desire to be loved and wanted and Bullen writes this story beautifully. She keeps you on your toes with surprising twists that leave you guessing until the end. If you are looking for a book that will make you laugh and make you cry then Wishful Thinking is a must.
