Do you have a whiney child? Then they need to meet Peter the whiney rabbit who lives in the forest and whines from morning till night. Peter and the Whimper-Whineys is a book with lots of adventure. Peter’s mother gets annoyed with Peter whiney all the time and sends him to bed early. Peter sneaks out and takes a walk at night, but doesn’t go far when he meets a Whimper-Whiney Man who leads him to Whimper-Whineyland. Peter now gets a taste of his own medicine and realizes what he sounds like to his family and people around him when he whines.

This story is a wake up call for some children. As charming as it is, it teaches children what whining sounds like through Peter´s experience at Whimper-Whineland. I would recommend this small book to any mother who wants to teach their children not to whine or they may end up in Whimper-Whineyland. Kids will learn not to take their home for granted. As in the story, The Wizard of Oz states, “There is no place like home”. Be humble, happy, and love every moment with your family. I say, learn to whistle! It will keep you from entering Whimper- Whineland! Reading Peter and the Whimper-Whineys to a whiney child a couple times a day should prove to improve the whiner in your house!

Great fun book with a moral to the story. The illustrations capture a haunting look in Whimper-Whineland, but capture vibrant, bold colors in the rest of the story.
