Off-Camera Flash: Creative Techniques for Digital Photographers is a book by Rod and Robin Deutschmann. The primary focus of the book is to discuss lighting and lighting techniques when used in digital photography. The book discusses at length, how to use lighting, flashes, and lighting techniques when shooting portraiture, on-site, macro, and general digital photography. While this book is interesting and educational, the title “Creative Techniques for Digital Photographers” lead me to believe that the book would discuss a variety of topics beyond just lighting. While lighting is an important aspect of photography, there are other areas such as setup, editing, location, etc. for shooting good photography. While this is a good book, it left a little to be desired.
