For fans of graphic novels, the collection of The Sixth Gun comics written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by Brian Hurtt is a must read. In Book 2: Crossroads that includes issues 7 through 11 of the ongoing series Drake Sinclair and his posse are regrouping in New Orleans after a supernatural battle between humans and the undead. As they hide out and plan their next move, evil and powerful beings of the spirit world come together to align themselves against the heroes. One of the six magical guns is still missing. Sinclair holds four and Becky Montcrief holds the Sixth Gun, a weapon that can divine the future. What is in store for the treasure hunter Sinclair as he delves deeper into a dangerous quest to harness an unknown power? This time Sinclair’s search takes him right into the heart of voodoo country, ruled by a powerful creature called Marinette of the Dry Arms. Part western, part fantasy, this comic adventure nicely balances exciting battles, witty dialogue and characters development. It seems inevitable that someone will snatch up the rights to this series and make some amazing movies.
