Set in Ireland, Dermot Healey’s book, Long Time, No See, revolves around Phillip Feeney and two men, Joejoe and Blackbird. There are adventures and misadventures that plague the band of men and are expertly narrated by young and innocent, Phillip. As one would expect, there is a love interest, erroneous errands and various happenings on the isolated coastal town. The story is completely written in dialogue and was a tough read for this seasoned reader. Nonetheless, you will laugh at the mishaps and be entertained by small town life.
