Doctor is Targeted and Framed for Murder in this Crime Mystery

By Richard L. Mabry, MD

Thomas Nelson Press, $15.99, 320 pages

Approaching his car in the parking garage after completing his shift in the emergency room, Dr. Matt Newman is assaulted and kidnapped by two men. Trussed up and thrown in the trunk, he eventually escapes, but after a fall while in hiding, he wakes up in the hospital. His life begins falling apart when he learns he is the suspect in a murder case and the police seem to doubt his kidnapping story. His troubles multiply, even as he develops feelings for his beautiful attorney.

A retired physician, Dr. Richard Mabry is the author of four novels of medical suspense. His previous work has been finalists for the Carol Award and Romantic Times Reader’s Choice Award, and has won the Selah Award. He is a past Vice-President of American Christian Fictions Writers and a member of the International Thriller Writers.

The suspense builds beyond the realm of normal believability as the main character is confronted with crisis after crisis but readers will be captured by the premise of leaving everything to God. What starts out as a crime thriller eventually rises into an entertaining story of how God can overcome all obstacles. For the right audience, this is a suspenseful thriller with Christian values.
