Souris Hong-Porretta has collected a wide variety of work from contemporary artists and turned it into a dream coloring book for adults. The coloring pages in the Outside the Lines are from artists both well known, like Shepard Fairey, and more obscure. Many of the designs are not self-contained, they cover the entire page or they are open ended to the edges of the pages. This volume is much larger than other coloring books, even those designed for adults or older kids at 256 pages. The designs also vary widely, letting you pick from a variety of different types of designs. This book would be great for an older or artsy kid, or anyone who is a doodler or a kid at heart.
