Horror films have a long history in the film industry and this book lays them all bare featuring the classic directors, the old original horror movies, like Dracula and Frankenstein, and the first horror movie this reviewer ever saw, Children of the Corn. This reviewer would like to point out that this book encompasses everything about the genre from how they make the movies scary to the cult parody favorites that are often so lame that that is what make them memorable. The freakiest part of any horror film is the use of children and this book dedicates an entire chapter to “Evil-Children Films.” Even just thinking about it gives this reviewer chills.

“The zombie became the decade’s most popular “monster,” in part because the zombie apocalypse isn’t just about monsters.”
