Chronos Commandos: Dawn Patrol is a fast-paced pulp and science fiction graphic novel. In an alternate WWII-era history, both the Nazis and the Allies have developed time travel technology. The Nazis have traveled back in time to sabotage the Allies in an effort to turn the events of the war in their favor. While the narrative in Chronos Commandos: Dawn Patrol has some obvious plot holes – why either side felt it necessary to travel to the time of the dinosaurs was never really explained – the book is certainly entertaining. The artwork is well done, perfectly gory in places, and has intense images of vicious dinosaurs, giant crocodiles, giant spiders and plenty of gunfights. This is a great read for anyone who grew up playing in the sandbox with a mismatched collection of action figures.
