There is no time like the present to introduce your baby to the joys of San Francisco, and why not do it with the help of Larry, the sweet dog from the Larry Gets Lost series written by John Skewes? Now Larry is in the City by the Bay in Larry Loves San Francisco. Skews, author and illustrator, begins this trip with Larry and his human, Pete, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, and Larry loves it. In fact, he loves everything in San Francisco. He loves the cable car, Lombard Street, the colorful houses in Alamo Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, gardens at the Japanese Tea Garden and the de Young Museum and art in the Mission District. All babies will love who Larry loves most of all.

This is a perfect board book for babies. Skewes’ illustrations of Larry’s romp through the city will catch your little one’s eyes. The colors are bright and filled with details parents can enjoy. For example, the big picture of the city shows Coit Tower and Alcatraz and the Fisherman’s Wharf pages features the harbor seals and well known restaurants like Alioto’s, Nick’s, Tarantino’s and Guardino’s. What’s perfect for little ones after a long day in a busy city? A nap. And Larry loves those too.
