Tillie lost her fiancé and her stillborn baby coming by ship to America. The captain of that ship sought her out after two years under the guise of seeing if she was okay. Unbeknownst to him, Morgan’s desire for Tillie had already begun. His brother Cass is also smitten by her. They discover a sinister plot behind the death of Tillie’s betrothed and now her but are determined to protect her while figuring out who is behind this plot before their next voyage.

The third book in the series, Twilight fans will enjoy all the similarities in this tale as the love story twists reader’s hearts forcing them to choose between Team Morgan or Team Cass all the while white-knuckling their way to very end with its own version of the Volturi. The writing is taut, suspenseful, and engaging. Often the Irish accents are written into the dialogues but not consistently. This leaves readers wondering if it’s misspellings or typos, slowing the reading down. What’s there of the Irish brogue adds such a rich flavor to the story but the consistency fails true authenticity. Aside from that, this is a wonderful read and worth every moment!
