This books starts right where book one stopped. Babylon is where Jack, Marco, Aly and Cass must travel to this time in order to find the second loculus needed to save their kind from death. This book definitely makes you think a little harder while reading, as you start to wonder who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, and which side should Jack and his friends be on? There are a lot of twists in this book, one involving his dead mother, and another that surrounds Marco.

“Keep singing, little dude,” Marco said. “I like that Kind of a reggae thing.”

Author Peter Lerangis writes worlds that are very creative and that come to life within your imagination. The way he describes the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the King who has all but lost his marbles, keeps the story moving almost too quickly since you will find it extremely hard to put this book down. If you haven’t read the first book, you need to start there before starting this one. You don’t want to miss anything in this series, and will be glad you started at the first book!
