Charleston: A Novel immerses the reader in the southern charm of Charleston. Eliza Poinsett lives in London with her boyfriend, Jamie. A chance meeting with Henry, her high school boyfriend, takes Eliza quickly back to her childhood in Charleston. She has yet to return to Charleston in ten years but decides to attend her sister’s debut and complete some work at the same time. When Eliza returns to Charleston, it seems like she never left as she meets old friends and reminiscences with Henry. As Eliza discovers what Henry has done since their relationship, she meets a cast of characters she did not anticipate. She finds herself almost where she left off before leaving and now wonders what she should do.

Charleston shares history, art and the alluring charm of a quintessential southern city. Although slow at times, any reader who has loved their home, left and then returned will connect with Eliza and her struggle to decide what to do.
