Godzilla is Greg Cox’s well-written novelization of the recent blockbuster film. The book is a fun summer read, and a nicely paced accompaniment to the movie. This go-around with our favorite Kaiju is a surprisingly emotional story of family bonds. As a throwback to classic Godzilla films, it includes more than a slight nod to old-school Godzilla’s politics, specifically the importance of environmental responsibility and wariness for the destructive power of nuclear fission. If you missed the lovable whale-gorilla hybrid leviathan in the theaters or if you just can’t get enough of him, Titan books has you covered.
