Jonah and Nell haven’t gotten along great since he left town twelve years earlier. Now that Jonah is getting divorced, he invites his sister, Nell, to take a road trip with him on his way back home. On the way, they stumble upon an abandoned industrial site where Nell blacks out after falling in. When she wakes up, Jonah can tell something isn’t quite right with her, but only time will tell what really happened and what kind of evil lies within his sister.

Be forewarned that this is a fairly grisly horror story and like most in its genre, it does not quite have a happy ending. But then again, I guess that depends on your point of view. The angle the author takes was different than I expected. This topic is one that I try to steer away from, but the author did a good job of not making it obvious what’s happening until much farther in. Nothing really stood out as great, but it also wasn’t the worst horror story I’ve ever read. I don’t know what to compare it to, but if you enjoy horror, you might like this.
