Description
A Christmas Candy Killing is the perfect cozy mystery to read on a cold winter day, snuggled up in a fuzzy blanket and sipping on hot cocoa. Alex and her sister Hanna own a chocolate candy and book shop named Murders and Mayhem. Their chocolates are even named after different poisons. This book is fun and makes the reader feel like there are really there in the small town of Harriston.
Alex goes to her almost eighty-year-old friend Jane’s house to watch a crime show with her. Sadly, Alex finds Jane stabbed in her own bed, a box of Killer Chocolates laced with a sleep aid (which is later found out) next to her.
As the story unfolds, there are two main suspects, a handyman named Zach who did work for many of the people in town, and Alex! Unbeknownst to Alex, she finds out that Jane has left her half of her house and everything in it. Of course, because this is a murder mystery, Alex decides to do a little investigating herself. It certainly helps that Jane has left her a clue or two.
This book is a sweet treat of a book that is perfect for those who love mysteries centered around sweets and set in small towns.
