Description
Princess Roselyn the Reticent lives in a small castle on a small hill. She is beloved by her parents and all the people in her land. Her every need and desire is supplied before she even has a chance to ask. It’s as if she is surrounded by mind readers, or at least they all think they know just what she wants. They are all so busy getting her what they think she wants that they never bother to ask her. When her stomach rumbles, a servant announces she should have ice cream. When Roselyn protests, her mother calls for two scoops, and when she protests again, her father calls for all the ice cream in the land. But where will they put it all?
Emmy Kastner is both the author and the illustrator of this cute book. It is a cumulative story in the tradition of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie as each person in the story escalates the issue to the next level of silliness without ever asking the princess what she wants. Youngsters will love the fun of the story and the brilliant illustrations filled with wonderful details. This will become a fast favorite.
