Anywhere for You: A Novel

This is a heart-wrenching story about a woman who loves so hard she refuses to believe the man she considers to be the love of her life is gone. In Anywhere for You, Mary goes to her two jobs each day and then walks to the train station. Once there, she sits and holds a sign reading “Come Home Jim.” The story alternates timelines between the present day and the years that she was with Jim, leading up to the day he simply disappears. One day, a young journalist named Alice decides to find out more about Mary and her Jim. She strikes up a friendship with Mary, hoping to write the expose of a lifetime when she goes on a mission to find Jim herself. But the story takes a different sort of turn and Alice finds that she really likes Mary and has something in common with her. As Alice digs deeper against Mary’s wishes, she finds out the truth behind Mary and Jim’s relationship.

I truly loved all of the wonderful characters in this book. The call center employees where Mary works are wonderful and caring, and the relationships that build during the story are deep and very sweet. This is an excellent read for fans of missing person fiction.
