Description
Pulitzer Prize-winning news editor Clare Carlson is back and at it! This strong, sassy woman will stop at nothing to get the scoop. This is the fifth installment of R.G.Belsky’s Clare Carlson Mystery Series. I’m a huge fan of this series and was very excited to receive a copy of It’s News to Me.
In this book, a twenty-year-old college student is found brutally murdered. Riley Hunt was loved by so many people and was so promising. Who would hurt her? As Clare digs deep, she makes the wrong people mad, including an Italian family with ties to the mob. Clare discovers that Riley might not have been the goody two shoes everyone thought she was.
Belsky adds another layer to Clare’s problems by giving her a new boss named Susan Endicott. Endicott and Clare butt heads from the get-go, but Clare’s wit and quick thinking will always win the argument. Belsky does a fantastic job, as always, in giving us a well-written story and throwing his main character into the thick of it. Investigating and never backing down is what Clare is good at. This series is perfect for fans of suspense, mystery, and journalistic investigation.
