Light Chaser

Amahle was a Light Chaser. Aboard her spaceship, the Mnemosyne, she traveled at near lightspeed around the loop of the Domain’s settled worlds. Her mission is to collect the memories of the people from those worlds. Amahle does not remember how long she has been at her job, or how old she is, or much about her past.  But inside some of the memories that she has collected are hidden messages. These messages are for her, to remind her of who she was, and where she came from.  She also found in these messages a way to save humanity.

Light Chaser is a collaborated novel by authors Peter F. Hamilton and Gareth L. Powell. This is a love story that spans eons and “vast gulfs of space”. This is also a story of revenge.  Revenge on a dominating alien culture that has enslaved humanity for their own entertainment. Hamilton, a writer of space operas, adds his style of drama to Powell’s study of what it means to be human. Though the themes are nothing new, this love story is not a romance. Action scenes and cryptic messages make this a unique read.
