Moose lives with his family in a house in the woods, and every evening the family gathers around the fireplace while Moose tells them stories. But after a while, Moose runs out of stories. He goes to Bear’s house and asks to borrow a book, but Bear doesn’t have any books. None of the forest animals have any books. Moose borrows books from the library, and the other animals start to come every evening while Moose reads. It gets to be too much. Moose fixes up an old bus and makes a library bookmobile so all the animals can borrow books, but he discovers that none of the other animals know how to read. Can Moose find a way that all the animals can have stories?

The writing is fine and the characters and story are engaging, but the real star here is the absolutely gorgeous illustrations. The details in every picture will keep youngsters glued to this book, searching for all the fun in the pretty illustrations. This will become a fast favorite. Don’t miss it.
