Description
Photographer Dani Campbell is talented, in demand, and lost—she feels her photos lack something, and she’s determined to find out what that might be in Shelley Noble’s novel Picture Perfect Autumn.
After discovering a set of photos in an antique barn, Dani seeks out the photographer, Lawrence Sinclair, and asks him to be her mentor. Reluctant at first, there’s something in Dani’s doggedness that compels him to say yes. He makes her work for his help, and often encourages her to let go of her expectations and simply observe the world. Her spirit and willingness to spar with him helps to draw the life back into Lawrence who has, for many years, been living a near hermetic life.
When Lawrence’s estranged grandson Peter and three octogenarian nuns enter the picture, Dani must decide what she really wants her art to be—the busy, buzzy, digitally manipulated photos that have made her famous, or the personal, thoughtful work that sparks emotion. In her decision lies the future for her, Peter, and Lawrence in their shared Picture Perfect Autumn.
