Grace Kelly is an all-time famous actress who deserves to have a historical fiction book written about her. The Girl in White Gloves is the story of Grace Kelly starting when she was in the Academy in New York, excited to make a name for herself on Broadway. Broadway felt like her calling, but Hollywood had other plans for her career. Always looking for the next big break, she was also, perhaps subconsciously, constantly seeking approval from her parents and the rest of the world. Grace knew what she wanted for her life, but knowing what you want and what ends up happening are two different things.

Written beautifully, The Girl in the White Gloves is sure to please any reader. The story is written about different life events for Kelly. Kelly had a fascinating life, from being a model and Broadway star to becoming a Hollywood star and a real-life princess! Unfortunately for her, not every decision that she made positively affected her life. Kerri Maher does an excellent job of writing Kelly’s life story in words that you’d believe to be true. The tone of the story makes for a page-turner as you find out what happens next for the beloved Grace Kelly.
