The King Arthur Case: A Brittany Mystery (Brittany Mystery Series, 7)

We rated this book:

Commissaire Georges Dupin has taken time off with his colleagues for an outing in the Brittany forest. A forest where Arthurian legends and tales abound. And Celtic culture is alive and flourishing. But before Dupin and the others can relax and discover the area, he has agreed to interview an academic scholar for a police case in Paris. Unfortunately, the man in question has just been found dead. Dupin now has to track down the murderer. It won’t be easy dealing with a group of academics gathered for a conference about King Arthur, all of whom seem to be suspects. Before Dupin can make any headway, another academic is found dead. This time at an archaeological site in the wood. Dupin is sure it is connected to the Arthurian research, but his suspects aren’t cooperating. Although Dupin isn’t a Breton, he’s just as stubborn and refuses to be outsmarted.

The King Arthur Case is a riveting tale of academic rivalry and fast-paced adventure, with mesmerizing descriptions of Brittany and her ancient culture. It’s a delight to read.
