The Long Covid Self-Help Guide: Practical Ways to Manage Symptoms was written by physicians and therapists who made up the staff of the Post-Covid Assessment Clinic in Oxford, which was established in 2020 to study and treat those affected by Long Covid. Together they created a book covering several of the top concerns their patients were facing. Among them, used as helpful chapter headings are Managing Fatigue, Managing Loss of Smell, and Return to Work.

Written in the UK, US readers may find some of the terminology confusing, though not enough to be incomprehensible. This book provides a good basic overview of common issues LC sufferers face; however, unless the reader is without internet access, there is nothing new covered. Everything in the book is easily accessible with a basic online search. That said, it is a good resource for those who like a print format. The sources are highly credible, and the biographies of the contributors describing their individual work with Covid are interesting.

I would not suggest this book to anyone who can access the internet easily, but for those who cannot, it may be of some use.
