Description
Charlie’s grandfather, Papa Jo, has an hourglass. When Charlie asks about it, Papa Jo explains that it helps him remember to take his time to get things done. The grains of sand remind him every moment if precious. When Charlie wants to go to a restaurant for lunch, Papa Jo teaches him to make delicious vegetable soup. When the two decide to go to town for a surprise, instead of taking the car, they walk to the village. Along the way, they see beautiful wildflowers that Charlie never noticed before. They stop for ice cream before taking a rowboat to visit an island that has even more surprises. On the way back, they see a mother duck and her ducklings. A beautiful sunset reminds Charlie to appreciate every moment.
