What will the future look like? What will cell phones, pets, food, and transportation be like? The Ultimate Book of the Future allows us a peek into what technology we are currently working on and what the plans are for future technologies.

The idea of going to space and even possibly living on another planet has always been intriguing to me. I think the chapter on going to space was the most intriguing. The section on the top places to look for life was fascinating. My eight-year-old son loved the section on if we lived on Mars how we would do it. He was particularly interested in how we could grow food.

I like the new tech that will take out the trash and how it will save our planet. I hope that a maid-bot might take out the trash for me as well. I like the idea of robots and humans working side by side in jobs. The most interesting thing to me is the food printer. Even though it’s failed so far, it gives me hope something like that could be used in the future.

This book is full of amazing advances and some failures. I recommend this book for ages ten and up. It’s a book that is good to browse a section at a time, think about it, and then come back to read more.
