Description
Yoga Pant Nation by Laurie Gelman is the third in the Class Mom series of books. Jen Dixon is class mom to a fifth grader (Gasp! When did that happen?) at William Taft Elementary School, and she’s looking forward to her last year on the job. When the PTA president charges her with raising an insane amount of money for the fifth grade, Jen will have to achieve the impossible again, armed with nothing but spin class and her irreverent wit.
All three books in the series are outrageous and funny. Gelman truly does deal in the “what everyone thinks, but wouldn’t dare say” category, and to tremendous effect. Jen gets in and out of trouble with alarming regularity but somehow manages to keep track of a family that loves her. There is something for many mom readers to relate to in this novel, from raising aging parents, to ex-wives, to dealing with PTA politics. Get ready for inappropriate humor, spin class, and half-baked ideas, because Jen Dixon is breaking out her good yoga pants for this one!
