Finally, a wonderfully clever children’s book on eating right! James is a very picky eater and doesn’t want to eat his broccoli or his eggs or his oatmeal, drink his milk, or even try mushroom lasagna in Tales for Very Picky Eaters. His father ingeniously tells him the consequences of not eating each of those good, healthy foods in such an outlandish, silly way that ultimately he gets James to try them. James discovers he can eat them and he actually likes them too. When James asks if there is anything else he can eat besides broccoli his father says, “…we have this very sweaty sock, soaked in sweat sweated by the world’s fastest runner, who was fed nothing but apples and cinnamon for three months before running a marathon in this very sock.”

This is a book anyone can read to a picky eater, young or old, guaranteeing laughs and silliness, and is sure to start conversations about the foods they don’t want to eat. Brilliant work from Josh Schneider!
