The Lacey Chronicles #1: The Other Countess is a charming Cinderella story for a teen or young adult. The young Countess Eleanor and her father are turned out of their home by the fearsome Earl of Dorset, who believes that the Countess’ father was responsible for the financial ruin of his father. The Earl, William Lacey, sacrifices everything to bring prosperity back to his family’s estate. While spending time in the Queen’s court, Will becomes enamored with a beautiful lady of the court – Ellie. As Ellie and Will’s friendship develops in to a courtship, Will must choose between what is best for his family and what is best for his heart.
