The Wrigley Riddle, by David A. Kelly, is a great, easy read for children in first or second grade. This mystery seems obvious at first, but things get mixed up a bit at the end. The book doesn’t waste any time getting right to the point. The reader is challenged to find out who is stealing the ivy from the Cubs’ home stadium in hopes of ruining the team’s winning streak. Readers will be swept away by the entertaining characters, detailed pictures and descriptive scenes. There are also many interesting baseball facts in the back of the book. If mysteries and baseball are some of your favorite things, you’ll be sure to like The Wrigley Riddle.
