Still looking for the perfect book to put on your coffee table? Have you considered buying a book about coffee for it? If this sounds like a good idea you should consider purchasing Coffee: A Comprehensive Guide to the Bean, the Beverage, and the Industry, edited by Robert W. Thurston, Jonathan Morris, and Shawn Steiman. What is interesting about this editing team is that two of them are History professors and the other, Steiman, is the head of Coffea Consulting in Honolulu, Hawaii. Not only does this book include an amazing and global perspective of the bean that became one of the world’s most popular beverages, but also discusses all of the major coffee growing counties in detail from Guatemala to Ethiopia. At the back of the book there is also a glossary if you want to brush up on your coffee vocabulary and impress your fellow coffee loving Portlanders.
