In my mind, warm weather equals gardening! With this warmer weather we’ve been having, I am anxious to start on my vegetable garden, but want to make sure I am doing it correctly to ensure the best yield of crops at the end of the season. GrowVeg: The Beginner’s Guide to Easy Vegetable Gardening will be the lifesaver for my plants this summer. The book is a page-turner because it includes detailed and colorful pictures of the food as well as detailed instructions on the best way to raise whatever yummy food you choose.

Vanheems talks about several concepts of gardening, such as the different types and varieties of plants you can grow, the space you have to grow them in, what plants grow well together, and which plants are head-turners if you are going for the double-take from the public. I filled up a small notebook with tips and hacks for my future garden to do my best for my plants and flowers. I love how there are a variety of ways to plant, grow, and display your plants, even vegetables, other than just in the ground. I am excited to put this information to use this summer!
