Description
What does your dog know that no one else does? This book shows how the child truly is when he is not being watched by others. He might not really be the perfect kid he tries to show his parents he is, from giving his dog his broccoli to hiding his stinky socks.
The text is highly entertaining. I think kids will truly appreciate the honesty of sometimes just doing what they want instead of what they are supposed to do. While some of this might be a parent’s worst nightmare, it’s true that every human has their flaws and doesn’t always do exactly what they should.
The illustrations are fantastic. I love how the dog is watching the boy during everything he does, good or bad. I love the loyalty shown in the pictures.
As a parent, I am torn on this one. I think kids will find it hilarious, but at the same time, I don’t want to give them any ideas about being ornery. However, the title kind of gives away that the kid might not be the perfect angel.
