The Hungry Ghosts
Milly lives at St. Georges, a place for girls with no parents. She’s basically a mother, but she gets a few times by herself where she can read. Milly finds a book about witches, and she only gets to read it a few times before Cilla, her sister, gets ahold of it and starts reading it. The problem? Witches are illegal ever since the wizards made them so, which means reading books about witches is also illegal. When Milly finds her sister reading the book, she has to save her from falling off a cliff and Milly has to pull her out using magic. But now everybody knows there’s magic at St. Georges, and they think it’s Cilla. When Cilla gets captured by a mean witch, Milly has to try her best to bring her back home.
I really liked reading about witches and wizards, East and West Ernost, the winds, and magicks. I also liked reading about Milly’s adventure. This book was full of adventure, and it was really interesting. My favorite part is when Milly finds her lost memory.
