Description
In The Lies I Tell, we meet Meg Williams. She’s a con artist who is currently posing as a real estate agent. Ten years ago, Kat Roberts was a journalist following a story and one call from Meg sent her on a downward spiral that she has struggled to recover from. Now, Meg is back in town and Kat is determined to run her own con to gain Meg’s trust and expose her in the story of a lifetime. As the two become closer, they discover that maybe each other’s motivations go deeper than originally thought. As each one searches for revenge, they may actually get justice along the way.
I enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would originally. I enjoyed hearing the story from both Meg’s and Kat’s sides. The author takes you on a wonderful journey into how we blame others for our troubles and often seek out revenge only to see things in a different light. The question also addressed is, is it really a con if the person deserves it? There are strong women in this story, using their skills to right wrongs and look out for other women.
