With over 150 recipes, Almonds Every Which Way will open the reader’s eyes to the power and versatility of the humble almond. Chapter one introduces the reader to almond basics including almond flour, butter and milk and how to substitute almond-based ingredients for conventional ingredients within recipes. Every recipe contains an icon for the diet type it satisfies such as dairy-free, gluten-free, Paleo, etc. Chapters two through 10 offer recipes that present a wide range of choices, flavors and complexity for breakfast, snacks, dinner and dessert. The reader can also learn how to make their own almond milk prior to creating any of the recipes. Recipes are in a simple-to-follow format with numbered steps, ingredients, tips, number of servings and nutritional information. The book closes with metric conversions, suggested products and where to buy them. Whether a new cook or an experienced one, this book will offer plenty of options and ideas for someone that desires to increase their ability to cook with less conventional ingredients. This reviewer especially appreciated the full-color photographs in the center of the book with recipe names and corresponding page numbers.
