How to Grill Vegetables: The New Bible for Barbecuing Vegetables over Live Fire (Steven Raichlen Barbecue Bible Cookbooks)

We rated this book:

This book is so versatile––lovers of both vegetables and grilling will enjoy it! The author, who brings the vegetables to life, is Steven Raichlen, the face and talent of the television show Project Fire. For a continuation of the show, and for those who can’t pull up an episode at the moment, How to Grill Vegetables: The New Bible for Barbecuing Vegetables Over Live Fire is here to help. Inside the book are instructions for beginners on how to grill like a pro, followed by recipes in food categories such as dips and chips, grilled eggs and cheeses, and desserts. The recipes are understandable and include a fun write-up about the food before you begin. Pictures are interspersed throughout the text, so beware of reading when you’re hungry!

Just looking at the front cover will have your mouth watering due to the dark grill lines on the juicy vegetables. I was originally excited about the book because I love grilled asparagus and okra, but what I found inside the pages was so much more. I would eat anything out of this book and now know how to grill it properly. I also know that it would be healthy for me as well––double win!
